Kaleidoscope consists of three mirror walls, with each consisting of four square mirrors. Each wall is illuminated by one of the three centrally positioned overhead projectors, and each mirror in the mirror stands, can rotate on its own axis when touched by the audience – when the installation is activated, the light reflections from the mirrors are sent out into the exhibition space, creating a sea of reflections. The installation is designed to function as a painting tool, guiding me in the creation of an abstract painting based on the geometrical forms from the reflecting lights. During the exhibition period I painted and performed four times.
